Deakin Dances - Val Deakin Tribute - Led by Jane Roseman

In her more than 75 years dancing , teaching and creating dances, Val Deakin ONZM  has studied a wide range of dance styles and techniques and lived and worked in several countries with many different companies, including her own company in the USA.  All of these experiences have resulted in a very varied body of work created by her.

Some of the constants in her work are musicality, attention to nuance, the relatedness of the people performing and the need for dance to be an expressive medium. 

Excerpts of her work in the vein of dance/theatre  will be taught at the workshop
